Below is a small selection of pictures of the Tamar that we will be having being built. More pictures will be added to this page soon. Hover your mouse pointer over the image for commentary.

The hull of Tenby's Tamar on the lorry being delivered to DML The latest pic of our Tamar showing the hull and the superstructure laying next to eachother awaiting assembley   View from the aft end of the engine room looking forward, The areas of single skin in the bulkheads are to accept glanding hydraulic pipes, cables etc. all of which have to be thought about early in the design. View of the port side tank in the tank space. Unlike the bag lined Severn, the fuel is in contact with the wall of the tank after a specialised coating is applied. The tanks have been designed slightly larger than required to negate the need for overfilling and possible spills.
A full view of the starboard side, The stealth like black colour is a result of a change of resin   View looking at the starb’d bow, The main changes from the prototype being the swept deck similar to the Arun, Severn, and Trent and the swept fwd area of the wheelhouse enabling improved USP helm visibility just forward of the bow.   One of the two helm seats, built from carbon fibre, but still minus the padding, this seat is an in-house design as nothing on the market provided the equivalent protection, from vertical movement. The remaining crew have similar seats with different controls. Port engine sea strainer – An integral part of the hull structure! Very strong, and no worries about leaks or corrosion. It‘s also mounted between converging stringers to give additional support.   Fwd battery box to house one of the four battery banks. It’s made from separate moldings, rather that fabricated, to save build time and cost, The housings have been generalised to accommodate battery shape changes in the future.
Starting to tilt!!! Will it come back up???
Here it comes. . . Looking good!!
The pre-production Tamar being lifted after capsize drill Good pic to compare the size difference between a Severn and a Tamar Other Tamars in production. There are now 5 Tamars in build altogether
