Long Course Weekend Swim proves busy evening for ILB and ALB - 03-06-2011

ALB was tasked to a drifting dinghy off Morfa Buchan whilst watching over the Long Course Weekend Swim. The ALB had just picked up an exhausted swimmer so she was warmed up and taken care of whlst enroute to the Casualty vessel. Once alongside the dinghy, it became clear that the vessel, which had an outboard engine fitted but in the up (stowed) position, had drifted off the beach during the incoming tide. The vessel was taken aboard back to Tenby. Whilst returning to Tenby, the crew spotted a Kayak that looked to be finding it difficult to make way. It turned out that they had just capsized and the occupants were relieved to see the Lifeboat which returned them to the Beach at Morfa Buchan.
