Kayak Family on Beach 21-07-2011

A family became stuck on the beach by the surf after stopping for a picnic. The ALB was launched and the ILB was on standby. The ALB arrived on scene and launched the Y Boat from it's stern. The crew then powered the Y Boat through the surf to reach the family. They were then taken aboard the Y Boat and back out through the surf. The casualties and their Kayak were then dropped at Stackpole Quay and met by Coastguards.
