28ft Vessel broken down off Lydstep 29-07-2011

The Haydn Miller was launched after an 18ft cabin cruiser broke down off Lydstep Point and started drifting towards the rocks. Just before the Tamar arrived on scene, the nearby vessel 'Barracuda' had put a rope onto the casualty vessel to keep it of the rocks. The Lifeboat then put a crew member onboard the casualty vessel (which had 3 persons aboard) to attach a tow. The casualty vessel was then towed into Lydstep Bay where it was put back onto it's trailor. The Coastguard then gave suitable safety advice. All units returned to station.
