Casualty Type:	Person Injured after jumping off wall

Details:	The ILB was launched after a report from a member of the public that a man had injured himself whilst jumping off a wall onto the beach some 15ft below him. The ILB was requested due to the high tide and possible inaccessible location of the casualty. The boat arrived on scene the same time as the Coastguards and 2 members of crew went ashore to assess the casualty who had a back injury. Along with the Coastguards, the ILB crew immobilised the casualty and placed him on a Spinal Board to await the arrival of the Paramedics. He was then taken up the beach steps to an awaiting Ambulance and taken to hospital.
